Getting Started

Drawing and creating things has been an interest of mine ever since I was a child, which is what lead me to pursuing a career in Architecture. I was very fortunate to have been able to join William Starck Architects shortly after receiving my degree, and I haven’t looked back since. I have been employed here, now, for 10 years and I look forward to continuing to grow in my profession. The thing I enjoy most about my job is being able to work on a team to see something that was created on paper, be constructed and come to life.

Favorite Projects

Working on projects that require 3D renderings in initial stage, which affords the client an opportunity to see the finished product prior to construction, is one my favorite parts. However, my favorite project, from beginning to end, would be the Harvest Market building, located in Swansea, MA. The client came to us with a set of partially complete plans, and presented us with the challenge of re-designing the building to fit within a lower budget. We worked with the client to give them the building they had been dreaming of. As someone who enjoys gardening, farming, and supporting local business, I liked their vision & idea of a farmer’s market and restaurant all in one. This was my first project in which I used the program Revit to complete the construction drawings, which with seeing the client’s satisfaction in our work easily made this my favorite project to work on.

Interests

When I am out of the office, I can be found living an active, healthy lifestyle. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it is playing golf, hiking, or gardening. I, also, enjoy working on house projects and spending time with family/friends & my husky.
