Bill Starck, President of William Starck Architects, Inc. and Gary Lepore, Principal of LDL Studio, Inc. have teamed up to announce their exciting renovation project located in the heart of Fall River’s waterfront.  The former Regatta Restaurant is being apr 28, 2014 – renovated and is currently under construction.  The restaurant, which will be named Cove 392, will feature a new entrance, a bar/lounge area, a formal dining area, a function room and a marina.  A new commercial kitchen will also be added to the project which will certainly result in a great new menu.  The re-designed restaurant will offer a unique experience for Fall River as the only restaurant to offer true waterfront dining.  Co-Owner Peter Cabral explains, “We didn’t want the unique design of the previous establishment to be associated with Cove 392.  Bill and Gary kept most of the exterior walls of the building, which was cost effective for us, but added new design elements to the building such as the cupola on the roof, the new entrance and a few other design features that will give the building a fresh, new look.  One of our goals was to create a new landmark building along the waterfront.  Despite the fact that the building has been here for nearly thirty years, I think we successfully achieved our goal.”

The team of William Starck Architects, Inc. and LDL Studio, Inc. has been in the works for a while. LDL’s Principal Gary Lepore and WSA’s Rodney Jacques met six years ago. Since then, they have talked on-and-off about collaborating, but the right project never came along; until now. Rodney explains, “After speaking with the Owners about the project, Bill and I immediately knew that this would be the perfect project to work with Gary. When we called Gary to discuss the idea 2 days ago, he was immediately on-board.  With LDL’s strong hospitality and restaurant design experience coupled with our hands-on, technical, nuts-and-bolts approach to projects, we knew this project would be a success.”

Look for Cove 392 to open by Spring 2014.
